- AOC 2007 Winter Meeting -
The
annual winter induction dinner and breakfast meeting was held in Columbus at the
Capital Club and Doubletree Guest Suites, respectively on December 9 and 10,
2007. There were 21 new members inducted into the organization on Sunday
evening, December 9. State Treasurer of Ohio Richard Cordray was the guest
speaker and presented the Executive Order of the Ohio Commodore
certificates with Grand Commodore Bill Morgan to the new inductees.

On
Monday morning, December 10, John Haseley, chief of staff to Governor Ted
Strickland, was the featured speaker during the breakfast meeting. Haseley gave
an overview of the Strickland-Fisher Administration’s accomplishments to-date,
and the challenges still ahead in 2008. He answered members’ questions
regarding Ohio’s business community, legislative topics, and status on new
initiatives. Afterward, Haseley was inducted as an Honorary Member of the
Governor’s Staff by Grand Commodore Bill Morgan and Trustee Dick Moore.
