June 25 and 26, 2011


This year's annual summer meeting celebrating The Ohio State University”

began with a welcome reception at Woody's Tavern, located in The Ohio Union.


Archie Griffin was inducted into the Elite Corps by

Grand Commodore Richard H. Moore.

The James A Rhodes Distinguished Service Award,

Richard (Dick) Crawford for his countless

hours of service to the state of Ohio.

The Blackwell – Breakfast Meeting


Christopher Carey, Director of the Global Gateway Initiatives program with

Fisher College of Business, was the guest speaker. Carey roused the entire crowd

with a presentation on the economic development projects The Ohio State University

has underway, the results, and future targeted areas for expansion.

Tour of The Ohio State University Campus


 

A bus tour of the Ohio State University Campus

had been scheduled for the group.

The tour was highlighted by a visit to the

Woody Hayes Athletic Center.

Larry Romanoff Director of External Affairs for

The Ohio State University was the host of the tour.

Director Romanoff provided an outstanding

behind the scenes tour of the facility.

The Faculty Club


                 Director of Job Creation

Mark Kvamme addressed the

Association on his behalf of the

Governor at the Summer meeting.

Director Kvamme’s message

encouraged the membership to

 become actively involved in

assisting the Governor

in his initiatives.


The Elite Corps is a method whereby the Commodores

can honor the individuals who by their words, actions and

deeds have brought honor and dignity to the great State of Ohio.

  delivered a motivational speech

       on the great State of Ohio.

“The Captains Award”

The Commodores Distinguished Service Award presented to any Commodore who has

contributed to the organization above and beyond the expected participation.

Adjutant General Debra Ashenhurst was inducted into the Association by Grand Commodore Richard H. Moore.
