Kimber Perfect

The Association of Ohio Commodores held a Cabinet Luncheon at the Twin Lakes Country Club on October 22, 2008. Kimber Perfect, Chief Communications/Marketing Officer for the Ohio Department of Development was the guest speaker.

Kimber gave an informative overview of the State of Ohio’s mission to change the trajectory of Ohio’s economy by purposefully redesigning the business climate to increase the global competitiveness of Ohio’s businesses, resulting in prosperity for all Ohioans.

Kimber concluded: Economic development begins with having the right attitude and the right perceptions. As Ohioans, we must have pride about the state where we live, and the companies and talent we want to recruit and grow in Ohio must also have a positive perception of our state. Perception shapes risk, and risk drives investment and location decisions. We must eliminate misperceptions if we want to attract new investment and top talent to our state.
